Writing Friday #2: Personal Narrative

My favorite place to play is in my driveway. I enjoy playing basketball, lacrosse, and skateboarding there. It is my favorite place because it is quiet, and I have my basketball hoop, my lacrosse bounce-back, and all of my skateboarding things like rails and jumps are there too. Those are some reasons my driveway is my favorite place to play.
When I play in my driveway during the weekend, which is usually the time I play on it, I sometimes play basketball against my dad, or skateboard with friends. Usually when I skateboard these friends are either Ryan Heacox, Russell Coulter, Jonas Price, Jake Sachse, or Matt Heffner. Also, when I play my dad in basketball he usually wins, but it is still fun. He blocks some of my shots, but usually the second I check the ball to him he makes a jumper. When he occasionally misses he starts laughing and gets the rebound with ease and then goes up for a lay up (which he never misses). Sometimes when I have a friend over we play my dad in basketball, but we have never won any of those games. In the games the teams are my friend and I versus my dad, and we usually lose by a ton. It does not matter too much, because the game is more about laughing your head off then actually puting the ball in the basket. The reason we lose usually is that we don’t work as a team, and we aren't trying very hard. The other main activity that I do is play lacrosse on my bounce back. I throw the ball against the bouncy wall and it comes right back to me. I practice lacrosse by doing that throwing and catching on it. That is why my driveway is my favorite place to play.
